I’m always taken by how even the kids wear hats. When I walk by the neighborhood playground — quite busy now that school’s out — none of the kids wear any sort of hat.Report
Ball caps were far from uncommon when I was a kid in the 80’s and 90’s but they were definitely a minority and seem even more uncommon now.Report
My son didn’t get the memo and unless he is on his bike (where he is wearing a helmet) or on the field he is wearing a baseball cap. However I see almost none of the children he plays with wearing one, with the exception of his friend whose parents immigrated here from Japan, and for whom I get the sense baseball is not so much a sport as a way of life.Report
