I think there is a standard template for TV news in all English speaking countries. Probably more cars in America and Australia than the UK, Ireland, Canada, and New Zealand though.Report
I’ve seen this “report” hundreds of times. It’s almost as if they are following a script……Report
The very last local news show I watched, many, many years ago, had a segment about a potential AIDS vaccine. It followed this script almost exactly, including stock footage of a chem lab and mai-in-the-street interviews asking what people thought about a vaccine (consensus: good thing.)Report
I do think the news could use more lighthouse keepers being decapitated by laser beams.Report
In the PNW, it would be a Bobo being mauled by a bear or a sea lion.Report
