Weekend Plans Post: Batchin’ It

Maribou is back visiting her bestie out on the West Coast again and so, for a week and a half or so, it’s my job to hold the fort, feed the kitties, and otherwise make sure that the house doesn’t blow away.

So far we’ve had snow so I’m not sure whether I’m doing a good job or not.

Maribou had a fun enough time given that the flight out left a couple hours late, the flight from Denver was rerouted to this completely different city rather than that completely different city, and that the luggage itself decided to go off to see how Phoenix was doing instead of going to the correct city, and then, as Maribou’s Lyft to the house had *FINALLY* gotten started, the driver announced that there was a door problem and they had to pull over and fix the door and make sure it was shut.

At least it wasn’t the cops.

Once at the house, the luggage showed up a handful of minutes before midnight (and a couple of hours after *I* went to bed) and then everything was fine, everybody had everything, and the vacation could well and truly start!

While, back here in Colorado, the kitties were saying “Bald Consort who feeds us! Why is the nice Priestess missing?”

“Dude. She’ll be back in many sleeps. Just hold it together.”

“We want more treats.”

“Fine.”

And so a tentative truce has been achieved.

As such, this weekend has no gaming and, given that Maribou isn’t here, Maribou’s friends won’t be stopping over for me to make them breakfast. It’ll just be me and the boys and we’ll be doing everything we can to drive each other nuts.
