President-elect Donald Trump has made sweeping promises on what he will do on “day one” of his presidency, including mass deportations of immigrants in the United States illegally, eliminating perks for electric vehicles and banning transgender women from certain sports. Experts say many of his promises may be impractical to deliver or in some cases illegal, but he could still push the law in his direction.
Of course, Trump made similarly headline-grabbing pledges ahead of his first stint in office. Revisiting them offers a useful perspective on his record in terms of both plans and execution. See if you remember what happened to the promises below, and whether Trump managed to deliver.
