Weekend Plans Post: Mother’s Day (Observed)

Game night is coming up this Saturday night and Maribou is going to be out of town. That right there means that we’re not playing D&D. So I figured that it was a board game night.

Then another player cancelled… and then another. There were only 3 left. So I figured… let’s see a movie? Hey, we can go catch The Fall Guy and then go to José Muldoon’s afterwards to argue about the subtle criticisms of consumer culture and whether it was an allegory for the nature of man and maybe get a margarita or three (assuming someone else was driving). And we all agreed that that was what we would do!

And then I got the call. Saturday night was Mother’s Day (Observed). We’re going over to my sister’s for Mother’s Day on Saturday night, we’re going to have… what are we going to have? I don’t know. I’m in charge of going to Cold Stone and buying overpriced ice cream for dessert.

The two flavors I get:
Sweet Cream (base) – Twix – Snickers – Kit Kat – Heath – Caramel Swirl
Strawberry (base) – Blueberries – Raspberries – Strawberries – Gummy Bears

They’re always a hit and my sister always tells me that I need to take the candy bar one home, lest she eat the rest of it.

I always do my best to forget it at her house.

Revised plan for Saturday night: we’re going to hang with the various moms in the family, the various sons and husbands of the various moms in the family, and eat a lot of food. Maybe play some Uno.
