One thing that was happening at this point in 2015 but doesn’t seem to be happening now is the whole accelerated news cycle thing.

We went from having maybe one breathless news story every couple of days to having two or three every day. There was a constant feeling of new information coming in.

Now? Meh. If you miss a day, it’s not going to take a whole lot to get you caught up.

When I was in college, one of my girlfriends watch one of those soap operas. She explained to me that she used to watch/record every day, but she has since learned that you only really need to watch on Tuesdays (where they put the new developments) and Fridays (where they recapped the responses to whatever happened on Tuesday).

It feels like we’re back to Tuesdays and Fridays.Report
