    There are times I wish sci-fi writers, in whatever medium, would either have a solid science background, or be required to have an appropriate scientist proof their work for obvious errors.

    I’m not talking about speculative tropes, like warp drives, but stuff like this, where basic (& holy cow is this basic) orbital mechanics is tossed out the window. I can just hear my satellite dynamics prof (Dr. Kammer) having a field day with something like this.Report
