The “so-called” police calls were really to the sheriff’s office. The “transcripts” do contain “what” the caller “said”, but when “journalists” started “investigating”, Toby “clarified”:

“Now that the media are all in Springfield, I don’t want no part in this,” Toby told me.

It is a blood libel, pure and simple. It is a blood libel designed to incite racial prejudice and get the worst of the worst out for Trump in November.Report

These lies have consequences, real ripple effects in the culture, which we’ve seen before (e.g. Charlottesville) can erupt into violence when amplified through the Trump media machine.Report

The hysteria over Haitian immigrants demolishes all the lies which nativists have used to cloak their bigotry.

Here we have legal immigrants who are law abiding, hard working, and helping to rebuild a town sorely in need of workers and residents.

By their very own words, these immigrants should be welcomed by the anti-immigrants faction, but they aren’t.

Of course they aren’t. Of course they are hated and feared, of course they whip up the Great Replacement theory and every libelous smear imaginable.

Because they are bigots and all the lies and excuses for hating on immigrants were just that, lies and excuses.Report

It wouldn’t be a disingenuous post without shoe-horning in BOTHSIDES! What a crock of crap! JD Vance is deliberately wantonly and recklessly putting people he ostensibly represents in the Senate in danger and whoops bothsides. And Project 2025 is Trump and Trump is Project 2025.
