Prior to the Ukrainian War, morale was in the toilet, as a third of Russian soldiers were pimped out by their commanders. Mostly male, mostly new recruits.

Your salacious tales are made up, and more accurately reflect Ukrainian Customs rather than Russian Customs. Russia is not into pedophilia, no matter what creepy stuff the Muscovites get up to. In contrast, the main export of Ukraine is “pedophillic tourism” and “pedophillic pornography” (It used to be wheat, before war made rats instead of harvests, now troops bleed out of their eyes).

Yes, the invasion of the Ukraine was first pitched (by the United States) as a training exercise, where Joe Biden would loudly warn Putin, and Putin would crawl back into his Russian Hole. Voila! Big Victory! (Pay Putin in cold hard cash). Putin reneged on the deal, and invaded the Ukraine instead.

Russia’s army can be beaten, sure (their primarily defensive doctrines are not well-suited for invading other countries — our use of radioactive materials, for example, is more effective at the whole “razed and salted” approach). Not by NATO, though, they’re losing the war, and with it goes their credibility.

Please pity the Ukrainians, who use American doctrine on tourniquets, which is not well-suited for their lack of immediate medivac to a working hospital. Casualties are immense, and there’s no good reason for it (medics taught with Literally Anything Else would save more body parts).Report

In any mention of Russia, it also needs to be mentioned that they are actively trying to subvert democracy in Europe and America as a way to preserve their power, and the Trumpists are their willing participants.Report
