  1. As a friend of this site, you guys gotta start writing about something other than “Get Trump” at least some of the time. Dudes, come on, it’s so boring and it doesn’t set OT apart from any other of the 123,456,789 other sites doing the exact same thing.Report

    1. How do you feel about the IVF decision in Alabama? As someone who is both Libertarian and supports women’s reproductive journeys I’d have thought you would have had a reaction . . . .

That aside you are a great author, and while I don’t generally agree with you I would rather you write then not.Report

  2. Haley is waiting for Trump to be arrested. She consolidates the “anyone but Trump” vote but that’s not enough in the primary.Report

    1. One of the things I remember about 2008’s primary in the Republican party was that everybody who backed their guy hated (*HATED*) one of the other guys in the primary.

Huckabee guys hated Romney guys. Romney guys hated Huckabee guys. *EVERYBODY* hated Ron Paul.

McCain? Meh. He’s okay. I guess.

And McCain got the nomination. He was everybody’s least-hated choice.

If Haley is this round’s least-hated choice, that’s good for her… I guess. It doesn’t speak well to her chances, though.Report

  3. Haley’s dilemma is that she has already exhausted the “Not Trump” GOP vote, and it barely tops 20%.

As history since 2015 has shown us, there really isn’t any latent anti-Trump sentiment left.

The only options for Haley are to go full Liz Cheney or with to auditioning for Veep.Report

  4. Man, I miss the days when I, a good liberal, could just be against the rising conservative because of their policies that I don’t agree with, as opposed to thinking positive thoughts about the rising conservative because they aren’t as blatantly horrid as that against which they rise. I’m old. I confuse easily.Report
