      My grandfather told the story of the day he got a raise to 60 cents an hour (24 bucks a week).

      “I was getting paid every minute I was there. I put my pencil down and took a deep breath and I was getting paid. I got up to go to the water cooler and I was getting paid. I was getting paid every minute.”

      This, of course, segued into how people today don’t appreciate things.Report
