My understanding from this series is that is his job; ‘chairman of the (house) committee’ is not ‘President of the club’ (or chairman of the board). Rather, he has the thankless task of being the guy who plans the menu, budgets for the food, (maybe also orders it, as well as hiring the staff?), books any speakers or other entertainment, and in all, does all the background unsexy logistics stuff to make a supper club work.Report
