   Though the other side of it is that this is super early in any sort of National election cycle – so people are simply going to forget their current feelings in a few month, never mind a year and a half. Plus, Fox is already counter programming against it.Report

True only 1 was shot, but last I checked we as a nation don’t measure the effect of violence based on the number of shells ejected from a weapon.Report

         2. Way to move the goal posts. The Scalise shooting was a single incident. The Capitol Insurrection was a single incident. The social justice protests in 2020 is a series of events. 19 people died in those events, which given that the protests number in the hundreds means on a per incident basis they still rank way below the Insurrection, though above the Scalise shooting.

            Again however, I wasn’t aware that bullet counts or body counts were the important measure.Report

6. The House managers have made an excellent case, and used both trump’s words and video very well against him. It’s really sad that he’s STILL likely to be acquitted but on a day where NOR reports the latest AEI polling shows 4 in 10 Republicans believing in violence to preserve “America’s traditional way of life,” it is also probably true that the GOP has little other political choice if they want to remain in power – and they very much want to remain in power.Report
