Being 38 I represent Millennials — and everyone who comes after us.
Our generations are stuck with:
→ Useless degrees & low-paying jobs
→ No affordable housing
→ Crippling healthcare costs
→ Rising crime
What *I* found interesting is the "useless degrees" part. It seems like "useless degrees" is showing up more and more as a political talking point. It was merely an undercurrent for the debt forgiveness debate but now people who are running for political office are just up'n saying "useless degrees".
My Ethics professor freshman year (so, 1991-1992) was approximately one jillion years old and he explained to us that the term that was used during his childhood/adolescence was "morons".
And we've reached the point where "moron" is a term that the one wacky morning DJ calls the other wacky morning DJ when they're arguing about sports or something.
It's not even a particularly venomous insult anymore.
The atmosphere was not really anxiety-making. If anything, I'd call the atmosphere "goofy".
I don't know much about rage rooms but I do know that you can get a pack of clay pigeons for a hundred bucks. They're biodegradable, non-toxic, and smash up nice. A good rain will make it like they were never even there.
I do think that an abundance agenda could ultimately be beneficial, if we’re very vigorous in not allowing such a movement to serve as a useful idiot for the right. But the effects would probably be modest.
While I, too, prefer silver bullets that solve everything, modest beneficial effects are not bad.
Yes, there will be trade-offs. Yes, there will be costs in addition to the benefits.
But I have never been in a place where I wouldn't have enjoyed some modest beneficial effects.
