"A Yale University spokesperson told Newsweek that the word “Israeli” had originally been removed because of student concerns regarding country or ethnicity labels on dishes in general, but that in this case the word “Israeli” will be added back to the label, considering that ‘Israeli couscous’ is an “actual ingredient.”"
Right.....student concerns regarding country or ethnic labels......right. Now I'd like to know the quantity consumed over the last few year's and whether or not its dropped recently.
Exactly. And that's why, after what 3 tries, folks should stop. Nothing's stuck to him, it's doubtful that anything sticks to his dad. For even a chance at nailing Dad, you gotta have good dirt on Hunter. STFU until you've something you can use, but keep the investigations going on the DL.
Yes, I recall walking past protesters to attend several speakers events at college and listening to the protesters thinking, "do they even pay attention to the news reports?" and "how is what you're chanting have to with this speaker" Hell they even protested Mark Russell.
Another good question would be to ask the males (that id as such) whether they joined this group of supporters because they were trying to "get with" some girl who supported this side. :)
"Did I sign the envelope acknowledging that I had assisted in the preparation of the envelope? I honestly don’t remember." Depending upon the exact writing of the law, this could be considered "fraud". At a minimum, it's suggests possible influence on your wife's ballot. When I'm doing 58 and a 55, the cop CAN pull me over. Question is it worth his time to do so and how rigorous does he choose to enforce the law.
I happened to catch some of the hearings. The presidents came across as smug, legalistic, and deigning to be questions, and refusing to answer straight forward questions, or even try to rebut the how the questions were phrased. They get paid a lot of money and this is one of the foreseeable responsibilities. It looked like they all failed hard.
I'm all for some "realism" in shows in terms of different races, creeds, etc., but going all the way to the other end of the spectrum where it's only the white guy who's evil is a bit excessive. And of taking a villian like Davros and making him a old white guy....really?
It really doesn't matter what the real stats are. What matters is the PERCEPTION that community has of crime. That perception can be close to reality or vary wildly.
That's a good example. I found his site a few months ago and really enjoy his reviews. For my part, he's pretty spot on with most of the work I've seen.
The major issue I see is that most of these recent movies are, objectively, crap. I remember watching the Rei star wars movies where she naturally can fly a space ship and use her force powers. There's no hero's journey. Those movies sucked. When comparing them to the SW first trilogy (and that includes all the ewok segments) the first three are clearly superior in story lines.
Most of the list is generally BS. There's some I'd agree with, others not. Social Media? I dated a woman who spent a LOT of time on that....like she'd run out of data before the end of the month. She was always asking me to look something up on my phone because she didn't want to pay for more data. We're in freaking Zambia on a safari and the first and last thing she does is post to facebook at night before bed and then check the responses when she wakes up. I'm sitting outside, after making us coffee in the morning, looking at the view and she's on FB checking likes. That was one factor in me ending the relationship.
Only talks about herself. Yeah, if she's doing this, she's not that interested in you anyway. During an initial meeting, sure, everyone's getting to know each other and talking about themselves, but if she doesn't take a real interest in you, and getting to know you, when you first meet, she never will, so walk away.
Actually, I think the issue of body count IS significant. I'm not going to get into numbers, because the demarcation lines are a bit subjective, but I think if a woman has had many many partners or one night stands, it does impact her ability to pair bond with a man. That's just not the case with men. There's research suggesting this. The other issue, at least for me, was marring a woman who had kids. A man raising another man's kids is cuckoldry. Me, being the selfish bastard that I am, I'm not going to be in a position of providing for said kids with no authority to establish rules. I'm not an ATM. I never wanted my own kids, there was no way in hell I'd marry a woman with kids that were not out of the house, notionally 25 years old or more.
Regressive? Not sure about that. I've gotten some good advice from some content, which I used very effectively, specifically about establishing boundaries about what a woman has input on in my life. It was very effective.
Thanks Burt. Dad is dead...long time now. ALS. My mom sits in a good care facility but barely recognizes me. Most of what made her, her, is gone. I'll welcome the day she's gone, if only selfishly because it pains me to see her like she is now. At least she is cared for well. As for me, yes I hope to live another several decades, but now is the time to write living wills, durable powers of medical attorney, and to plan for when those tools no longer serve.
I didn't watch the service, I never watch these types of things, but I agree. Frankly, as i approach the part of my life where I have less time ahead than behind, I find myself thinking about how I want to leave this mortal coil. One parent had an active mind trapped in a body that he couldn't control, the other has virtually no mind and isn't aware of much, but lingers in this life unable to express her suffering. Neither is a way I choose to leave this life, yet alternatives negativity impact others...from a legal aspect....so i'm left to ponder the best way to exit at a time of my choosing....
Agreed, and I opposed it then and do so now, but I think it's important to remind folks of what was done in the past if only to rebut "oh but they'd never do something like that.".
"According to the letter, a surveillance program now known as Data Analytical Services (DAS) has for more than a decade allowed federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to mine the details of Americans’ calls, analyzing the phone records of countless people who are not suspected of any crime, including victims. Using a technique known as chain analysis, the program targets not only those in direct phone contact with a criminal suspect but anyone with whom those individuals have been in contact as well."
I saw this a while ago. While I don't go see movies much in the theatre, I have seen a lot of the Marvel movies on TV, and it's generally on point. Scroll to the 3 minute mark for a breakdown on why Disney may be having some problems-at least with The Marvels. So, here's an idea....make good movies that don't insult your intelligence.
