On “Panamanicans: U.S. Troops in Panama

in the first 100 days - yeah, blame the husk of a cinc that just left. tell you what, just for Easter and 4/20 i can write something mean about trump just for you. let’s rip on his golf game. he’ll hate that.

"

thanks for reading. not aware of that geopolitical theory.

recall clearly the signal scandal. showed indifferent execution with the enthusiasm of picking one’s fantasy football team. the houthis should be insulted.

"

thanks for reading. they seemed very happy about the arrangement. what could possibly compel them to want anyone else to control it? they can rewrite a reasonable lease, have reasonable tolls for legal movement and send all their kids to college for free for generations. why would they become a chip when they already have a great relationship with a superpower?

consistency is also a soft power.

"

it’s never for nothing, phil. thanks for reading. it’s all for something. trade is soft power. seems like the administration is committed to restructuring that valued asset in the diplomatic tool kit. for some reason, it hasn’t sunk in for people what a disadvantage pres. biden put us at.

"

dude - that is perfect. haha

"

western lens of martyrdom culture.

"

it seems to have had the opposite effect.

"

teachers are required to grade your papers. while greatly appreciated, you do read of your own free will. what ever grade you assign probably says more about you than me.

"

my consignment of the thing doesn’t change what it is. which was lawful. your opinion of the optics of the thing doesn’t change what it is. which again, was lawful. hence the phrase, ‘it is what it is’

"

isn’t that the grade that counts?

"

if the israelis had shared what they knew he wouldn’t have gotten citizenship of any kind. his visa was lawful. the investigation\surveillance was lawful. his deportation was lawful. nothing has been violated. an expectation has been set.

On “Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Problem: Himself

hey, jay. thanks for reading. i think you hit the vein. he’s been around a long time.

On “Columbia, Mahmoud Khalil, and Protest Expectations

maybe not, on the discovery the frame of reference to that was a case based on a mosque suing the press. after the george mason case that was started in dec 2024, they have data marked of protesters planning. not a ridiculous leap to think there is something similar with khalil. he may not want to go to court either.

see, the part I do think is interesting is that it’s rubio’s authority. glad you brought that up. there is another case that’s named him and i don’t know how to even look at theories based on what’s filed.

"

he was not some dreamer who played high school football in america and owns a roofing company. he chose common cause with the enemy and placed himself in this position. culture of martyrdom and whatnot. you have no idea where he’s been or what he’s done. 100% certainty the israelis had him on their radar before we did. thx for reading.

"

lee, what a a wonderful contribution. thank you. ”material” is gonna go for a walk, id wager.

"

thanks for reading, jay. I remember that story. similar to road blockers and ambulances. other rights to consider.

revolutions are messy business.

"

always enjoy your notes, phil. what was betrayed? buddy of mine was sent back to argentina because in 2008 he bought weed from an undercover cop. grad student and expecting father. judge told him he was here to be a student not a drug addict and sent him home. if you’re going to make americans regret extending the visa to learn, we can just give it to someone else. pretty simple, I think.

"

thx for reading. doubt we have the same definition of grotesque. my post is realistic, unbiased and unforgiving but it is not crass, brutish, ignorant, vulgar or anything resembling grotesque.

On “The Real First 100 Days

thanks for reading, slade. feel like I’m right, which is why I wrote it, and people should grow up and not make everything about them or their partisan purity. All have fallen short of the glory of the lord, so saith the gospel.

"

jaybird, thanks for reading! And dynamite contribution. Always excited to see you in the comments.

Yes, I think this model is here to stay for a bit.

"

thanks for reading as always, Phil. no one was fired at the presidents address. in fact, a young man started an amazing chapter in his life and he made a 13 year old a SS agent. message I took from that is “this kid could protect me better than biden’s SS.”

don’t need USAID to get aid to people in need. way more goes to strategy firms than actual people.

Let’s do some math:
If only 12% of $2000 in aid goes to the needy, $240 in aid.
If I cut the aid to $1000 but I get 37% aid to the needy, it’s $370 in aid.

Now - did I cut aid or raise it?

"

I think a certain amount of belligerence is called for. It seems like we may differ on where that is directed. I claim no authority on making that call.
