   1. He was hoping that the customer would slide a buck over and get the room that they put aside for if the mayor needs a place for the night.Report

         1. It’s the “Ready to pluck” part that has him say “the six dollar room is all I got” and… welp, the guy doesn’t bite.Report

            1. Got it, but why ring the bell and say “Front” then? That’s what I’m scratchin my head over.Report

               1. That’s the bellhop. Even the guy in the six dollar room gets a bellhop.Report

                  1. I think you mean, even the guy *not* in the six dollar (90 dollar* in 2021 money) gets a bell hop

                     * though 90 dollars is not that ‘premium’ for a hotel room in 2021, right?Report
