Never heard of arnica before, apparently a long time herbal remedy for skin abrasions and rashes. Internet says I could go over to Target right now and pick some up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnica_montanaReport
Briggs drew during the revolution in golf balls, with rubber cores, rubber windings, and for high-end balls a balata cover. I’m old enough that I played with balata balls. Mis-hit them in the slightest and you got scrapes, or even cuts down to the windings. Not that arnica would help the ball, of course anthropomorphic or not.
I’m old enough to have played with balata balls. Expensive, and you only used them if the round mattered for something. Even as a scrawny junior high kid, I could pound one out of round in 18 holes. But darn if they didn’t feel wonderful when you hit them :^)Report
