On “How to Lose Friends and Influence No One

They tried to rig the election by not saying a word about their investigations before it took place.

You used to at least be funny sometimes.

We know Trump is going to try to steal the election. He said so in so many worlds today, while explaining why he's trying to strangle the post office. If that's not reason enough to do everything possible to defeat him, I don't know what is.

P.S. Kamala Harris really is eligible.

The only Ivy Leaguer in the race is the one whose Wharton School degree has a concentration in looting.

I remember the race for the Democratic nomination. It went on far too long, far too pointlessly, creating great waste, accomplishing nothing, proving nothing, ending out of exhaustion with more or less the status quo ante.

Or was that the Thirty Years War?

Lose, of course, but in a way that's inspiring..

"How dare you use the same tactics that have worked so well for us? You're supposed to be the good guys!"

Does the constant insistence that Biden is suffering from dementia count as trying to cancel him?

For instance, markets remain undefeated as a way of serving humanity's needs. We saw this in the early 2000s when they were able produced an unprecedented number of highly profitable power outages in California, and again in 2008 when they didn't even break a sweat meeting the high demand for non-performing mortgages.

Donald J. Trump

RINO Ben Sasse, who needed my support and endorsement in order to get the Republican nomination for Senate from the GREAT State of Nebraska, has, now that he’s got it (Thank you President T), gone rogue, again. This foolishness plays right into the hands of the Radical Left Dems!

1. Does this count as trying to cancel Ben Sasse?
2. Would that be a bad thing?

Fauci Reveals He Has Received Death Threats And His Daughters Have Been Harassed

Dr. Anthony Fauci said Wednesday that he has received death threats and his daughters have been harassed as a result of his high-profile statements about the coronavirus pandemic.

"Getting death threats for me and my family and harassing my daughters to the point where I have to get security is just, I mean, it's amazing," Fauci said.

Does this count as trying to cancel him? Asking for a friend.

I was about to say both of those, but now I've been cancelled.

Reagan couldn't get the GOP nomination these days; he'd be damned as a RINO for appointing moderately conservative justices like O'Connor and for using diplomacy to reduce tensions with the Soviet Union.

1974: Nixon resigns in disgrace, Senate 62D-38R, House 292D-143R.

1980: Election of Ronald Reagan

It only took 6 years to go from the permanent Democratic majority to the most right-wing administration since Hoover.

I've made the same point about dress codes, but on reflection I think a better analogy would be wearing eye protection when using the lathe in wood shop. IIRC, that wasn't a matter of personal choice.

They're the Democrats! They'll screw it up.

On “A Binge Of Cinematic History Chapter 2: The Birth Of Hollywood

From Wikipedia:

In Intolerance, Griffith chose to explore the eponymous theme partly in response to criticism of his previous film, The Birth of a Nation (1915), which was criticized by the NAACP and other groups as perpetuating racial stereotypes and glorifying the Ku Klux Klan. It was not, however, an apology, as Griffith felt he had nothing to apologize for; in numerous interviews, Griffith made clear that the film's title and overriding themes were meant as a response to those who, he felt, had been intolerant of him in condemning The Birth of a Nation.

Which proves nothing about the film; it's entirely possible to make a great piece of art even when your motives are petty.
