I wonder if SPQ is just random or a joke whose reference is lost to the mists of time. The internet says that there is a financial term called a ‘special price quote’, but’s it seems not that common while at the same time being rather unremarkable.
Could be some take off on ‘mind your P’s and Q’s’ but if there’s some significance to the S, I don’t get it. “SPQR” would seem to be a very unlikely reference, and also the complete opposite of some fly by night quick scam operation.Report
