My man did nothing wrong.Report
On one hand, I am this man. I am a gourmand and a glutton; a deli is a dangerous dangerous place for me. So I feel exactly what he’s feelings.
On the other hand this is the early 1930’s. Artificial preservatives are pretty much limited to salts, vinegars and sugars right? There are no zip-lock bags, no cling wrap, no plastics at all. Food in general is expensive and these kinds of foods are the higher end of the price curve. The wife’s horror has genuine economic merit.Report
This type of man incompetent to do basic chores humor is no longer popular with the very online but is still received wisdom among the masses. One of the interesting things about the Internet, especially in the online liberal-left community and everybody else, is that is creating a distinct set of different values.Report
