    I love the pieces like this one about Flint and the one the other day about Buffalo. But I’ve lived my entire life — well, at least since high school — in what seems like a different country. Nearly continuous, almost unmanageable population growth. The economic busts always followed by a boom of some other sort, with the seeds for that boom usually planted before the bust.Report

    Lovely piece. It’s nice to hear some hope in the midst of the depression and turmoil. My home town is Waterloo, Iowa. Don’t Google that unless you want to be dejected again. It was a nice place to grow up…Report
