Good to see a metal album reviewed thanks for sharing.

My favorite track on Cowboys From Hell is Shattered. Good chug a beer and smash your face into a wall song. The sludgier they got in subsequent albums the less I liked them.

There was a legend that Dimebag Darrel woke up after being black out drunk, found recording he didn’t remember from the night before, and that’s how they got the Cemetery Gates solo. Not sure if anyone ever proved or disproved that one.

I’ve always thought the biggest problem with Phil Anselmo is that he’s a totally insufferable dumbass. Not that it’s mutually exclusive from whatever the racial edge lord stuff. Every time I hear him on Liquid Metal (which is annoyingly often) i want to drive my car off a bridge.Report

Some of my favorite concerts were Pantera. I saw the five or six times in the ’90’s. Twice at Red Rocks–the second time there we were just three rows back behind the handicapped section. It was a great show. Glad to see your review here.Report
