    Agree that this was the first (and maybe only) supergroup that was both super and a group (of sorts – I appreciated how they invested in the Wilbury metier)… I was pretty skeptical when a pal told me about the project. It might be blasphemous, but for me The Wilburys are a whole greater than the parts – since all the bands they come from are bands I don’t really like… and then there’s Tom Petty.

    I think I’ve posted this before, but if there’s a better description of a musician, I can’t think of it. They say that Dwight Yokam once described Roy Orbison’s voice as “the cry of an angel falling backward through an open window”Report
