I’ve often made a simpler version of this with a toaster oven.
    1. Fry an egg.
    2. Put fried egg and some cheese in muffin.
    3. Toast until cheese is melted.Report

An additional point I want to make about the broiler is that it makes restaurant quality nachos.

Most people make their nachos like this:

    Get the nacho plate.
Arrange chips on the plate making sure that there’s only one layer with minimal overlap.
Sprinkle pulled chicken or browned sausage on top of chips.
Use spoon to dollop out salsa onto chicken and chips.
Sprinkle cheese on top of everything.
Use kitchen shears to cut little triangles off of the pre-cooked bacon onto the cheese.
    Microwave for 60 seconds.
    Let sit for 60 seconds.
    Microwave for 60 seconds.
    Apply sour cream.
Sprinkle parsley to give the nachos some color.

    Right?

Anyway, instead of doing that on the plate, put some aluminum foil on a cookie sheet and set it up the same way but put it under the broiler (and then do the sour cream and parsley).

Holy cow. You’ll never go back to the old way.Report
