Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV
The Kansas City Chiefs have won the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, 31 to 20.
Looking at the scoreboard, the ‘niners put up 20 points in the first three quarters, the Chiefs put up 10 points in the first two and then 21 points in the last one.
Congratulations to the Chiefs, on their first Super Bowl win since 1970.

I looked up the Methods of Divination page on the Wikipedia but there isn’t a form of divination based on sporting events, apparently.
Just as well. If we were looking for insight for what would happen with the election in Super Bowl XLIX, I supposed we’d be able to see exactly what happened, but that means that, for this election, we’d look at last year’s game and I don’t know how anybody could think that the election would be like Super Bowl LIII.Report
Nate Silver is just being a jerk:

21 points inside the final seven minutes, as a matter of fact. Although I stopped setting aside entire Sundays to watch football a few years ago, I have been a Chiefs fan since the heady days of drafting Todd Blackledge ahead of Jim Kelly, Ken O’Brien, and Dan Marino. This is the one sportsing title I never thought I’d be celebrating.
And also Jaybird, I’d like to apologize for my team winning and depriving you of a vintage trolling opportunity. šReport
The first half was an exercise in trench warfare. Short passes, running game, steady work to get up the field. It was technically very good, but no dynamism. But after the intereceptions started happening, the risks started to make sense and the game opened up like a fine wine.Report
I think that the Chiefs realized that A) Sammy Watkins was faster than Richard Sherman and B) the refs weren’t calling O-line holding, and it was Big Throws All The Way from then on out.Report

I considered telling you that I turned the game off in the third quarter because I had more important stuff to do and then tease you for losing but I already played that card earlier in the post-season.Report
