  1. I know I saw this film, and I even know where: at the one local theater with a big screen rather than several little ones, but I have almost no recollection of it. Is this the one where Amidala wears a Victoria’s Secret outfit to tell Anakin she’s not interested?Report

“Christensen is actually a good actor, certainly looks the part of Anakin, and is better in Revenge of the Sith. His material here just isn’t something that’s remotely easy to work with.”

The bit in the bar where he gives a dark glance around and mutters “Jedi business, go back to your drinks” was genuinely good, I thought. And he has flashes where he…maybe “rises above the material” isn’t the right thing, but it’s more like he clearly understands the role he’s playing and the movie he’s in.Report

Exactly. There are flashes of greatness here (the Tatooine sequence being my favorite), but it’s hidden beneath a lot of bad writing, and at the very least he’s a physically imposing figure. I do hope we see him in The Rise of Skywalker.Report

Here is my shameful confession: I didn’t mind Attack of the Clones. Sure, I was a bit sore after Phantom Menace and, sure, I might have snapped at my bestie after seeing the flick with her.

But I had such low expectations for Attack of the Clones that I went into it with Zero Expectations and came out of it thinking “okay… that was fun”.

I will admit that I had *ZERO* desire to see Revenge of the Sith after that (my buddy had to get a couple of glasses of wine into me before getting me to agree to go see it) but I walked out of Attack in a better mood than the mood in which I walked out of Phantom.Report

    Didn’t you see
Natalie Portman say no to poor Ani.
    But where are the clones?
    There ought to be clones
    They’re on TVReport
