Beto O’Rourke, who started his campaign stating “I just have to be in it,” is now out of it as far as the 2020 Democratic nomination for president is concerned.
Our campaign has always been about seeing clearly, speaking honestly, and acting decisively.

I feel a bit of sympathy for politicians like Beto whose promise seems stymied by being residents of the wrong state. He came close in Texas, he might be able to campaign in a more purple Texas but who knows when that will be.Report

In the Presidential campaign of 2054 he will be about Sanders/ Biden’s age.Report
Mayor Pete’s in an even tougher position. It’s unlikely he can win his Congressional district or a statewide office. Maybe after a decade in the state legislature.Report
I dare say a shot at Corbyns seat was a lot better odds than trying to go for the Presidency. My sympathy level is mitigated by that considerably. He could have made the GOP sweat that seat, instead he wrecked himself in desperate flailing for the presidential nod.Report
