I was fortunate to have watched most of this series, but it was years ago and my memory of the show is not much. I do remember liking it quite a bit.

    Semi spoiler——

    So, bummed about the ship.Report

I’ve never heard of it, but IMDb gives it an 8/10.

The audio sounds a bit dated, and the costumes and camerawork reminds me a bit of soap opera zooms and pans, but the writing and dialog sound quite good.Report

BTW, rebels against a tyrannical space government sounds vaguely like Firefly. It seems that both also had several good parts for women, though I’m guessing that, unlike Firefly, not every single woman on Blake’s 7 is drop-dead gorgeous.Report

I can definitely tell that the budget was a bit small.

In season 1, episode 2, all the convicts are on the ship heading to the prison planet. They are sitting in rows in a large room and the guards tell them to all strap in. Not only are they sitting on obviously cheap office chairs, probably taken from the writer’s room, the blonde smuggler is sitting in a roll around office chair.

Those seat belts aren’t doing anyone a whole lot of good!

What I find even more interesting is that the show’s theme is being played by the organist at your church.Report
