    I remember one night, back when I was around 13 or 14, hearing a mosquito in the room when I was trying to sleep. This was the loudest mosquito in the world.

    I finally had to get up and did a search and, it took me 20 minutes, but I found him on the screen and I SQUISHED HIM.

    And, after that, I slept like a baby.

    (As far as I can tell, members of Phyllophaga aren’t particularly predatious of humans as much as predatious of things that humans like. So it’s not like the bug was going to bite him… it was just loud and buzzy and buggy.)Report

      June bugs, to be fair, are REALLY big and really buzzy and bouncy and they seem to like to fly into humans faces (I think it’s an infra red thing). The thing had it coming.Report
