  1. TT11: No link…

TT10: I look at the space needed to open the doors and think, “If we were actually going to get out of the car after parking it, I could only put one in my two-car garage, in the middle.”

TT01: Not just us oldsters. Ken Jennings, the current record holder on Jeopardy, was asked how he would do against James Holzhauer, the guy currently on a hot streak. Ken pointed out that he was 29 when he set the records, and now at 44, has reduced cognitive and memory performance compared to his younger self.Report

TT11 – Fixed. I know damn well I had a link in there, among the words in the first part of the sentence that were obviously missing.

TT01 – Scissor doors are the ones that offer the best option for tight parking.Report

    • TT01: I turned 50 this year and holy wow has my memory and mental processing-speed gone to heck relative to what it was 20 years ago. Also my mental stamina, and just my stamina in general for things like prolonged periods of work or attention.

I probably need one of those headsets. Or maybe Ritalin. Or maybe just more sleep, IDK.

The most worrying thing is when I am in front of a class and I “lose” a word….like a word I use regularly, describing some phenomenon I teach about, and I CANNOT THINK OF THE SPECIFIC TERM. I do this with people’s names, too, though I’ve *always* done that with people’s names – if you press me “What’s that guy’s name” I won’t be able to tell you but if you wait ten minutes until I am relaxed and thinking of something else, it will come to me.Report

TT10: Interesting that Kia’s concept still assumes that the standard use case for a car involves back-seat passengers and a separate trunk.Report

TT04: Don’t forget cute cats. While I lack accurate records, I bet I’ve spent more “computer” hours snuggling cats than snogging people.Report
