    I like the visual effect of each woman becoming shorter, less erect with each panel, as if each slight carries an increasing burden on the shoulders.

    With some ambiguous strips in the past, this revises my opinions on Briggs.Report

    Pre-Title VII, this sort of humiliation is the best sort of comeuppance the women around the office could have hoped for. And there would be the risk of retaliation.

    In today’s world, this sort of thing is not erased. In some places, it’s not even been driven into the realm of sub rosa behavior. But be of good cheer — the tables are slightly more balanced than they were in Briggs’ day.Report
