- 9/11 at 22: Are We Forgetting?
May the memories of the 2,977 murdered on September 11, 2001 always be for a blessing. This must never be forgotten.
- BRICS Without Mortar
Despite its recent expansion, the BRICS ‘alliance’ is nothing more than vaporware. Claims of the death of the American-led world order have been greatly exaggerated.
- Mini-Throughput: Masks, Redux
I don't like masks but the hysteria over them seems fantastically out of proportion. I'm also not sure that we need to bring back mask mandates under the present circumstances.

There’s a valid complaint about poetry written beginning somewhere in the middle of the last century that claims modern poetry is written for a smaller and smaller audience of attuned readers

- Abortion ‘Trafficking’ and the Constitution (Updated)
You don’t have to be pro-abortion to oppose the restrictive intrusion that anti-”trafficking” laws impose on individuals and their right to travel.
Ordinary Twitter

I am struck again by how much technology — in this case, transportation — has changed. Shipped the golf clubs ahead; traveling by ship, probably at least two days each way; not coming back until spring, because after all, if it’s that much work to get there you need to stay long enough for it to be worthwhile. I have a friend who went fly-fishing in Belize last year. His fishing gear went on the plane with him, a travel day on each end of a ten-day total vacation, with eight days of fishing. Flying time if you catch one of the direct flights between Denver and Belize City is six hours.Report
