Surprising no one, Senator Cory Booker is getting into the crowded 2020 field of Democratic Party hopefuls.

Before the senate, Sen. Booker was mayor of Newark, NJ. His higher-profile moments in the Senate have come from his position on the Senate Judiciary Committee, a place he shares with fellow candidate Kamala Harris (D-CA), and potential candidate Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). He brought attention, and criticism, during the Kavanaugh hearings for declaring he was breaking committee rules on releasing information, calling it “about the closest I’ll probably ever have in my life to an ‘I am Spartacus’ moment.” We will see if 2020 proves to be a better moment for the senator.
At least we’re past all the female candidate land mines and I can state without fear of repercussion that I will never vote for one of *those* people… vegans.
