That is not a skilled politician. “I don’t seem to recall your name” might be a great thing to say to someone talking about the business deal that the senator “agreed” to or the law they “agreed” to pass or something. “Hey, how ya doin? Direct election of Senators was at that point a mere 14 years old (and really 12 due to timing of elections). So these guys are still new at this.Report
