Em was one of those argumentative children who was sarcastically encouraged to become a lawyer, so she did. She is a proud life-long West Virginian, and, paradoxically, a liberal. In addition to writing about society, politics and culture, she enjoys cooking, podcasts, reading, and pretending to be a runner. She will correct your grammar. You can find her on Twitter.

I find myself very tempted to slide into the QAnon community with barely off-kilter messages to lead them to some random position, like asserting that Pence is one of the people that Mueller and Trump are going after.

The problem with this, of course, is that I’d have to actually engage with them.Report

You really didn’t “unwittingly infiltrate” the group. More like you wandered by a group of folks and threw a comment out and they concluded you were “with them”.

How do you think a non far left person works with far left folks? I do the same thing. Make a few comments that can be introverted as “liberal”, get a few nods of approval, and I wander off. I’ve established my bonfides with the group, they leave me alone.Report
