    I’m pretty sure Rosenstein said what he said regarding the 25th amendment and a wire, but the copy function stripped the source formatting, specifically the [sarc] tag.

    When you are so committed to trying to make a person look bad ‘right now!’ that you undermine anyone else who could actually make them look bad later on down the road.

    The LGM folks have been hating on the NY Times for a while now.

    The NY Times is one of the few newspapers in the country that can do really good investigative reporting on national and international issues. They do this weekly if not daily.

    But they are still journalists are fall prey to the things that most journalists find hard to resist which is access journalism and basically being a courtier for invitation to events, scopes, and nice parties in exchange for things which are motivated by less than noble reasons and/or PR puff pieces.

    The op-ed page during the Trump admin has included some real disasters and the Times doesn’t help itself with self-important justifications on how they view themselves and their place in the world.Report

    I am sure the NYT got played, but I wonder how much. I’ve long thought that, even if they won’t admit it, Trump has been a goldmine for news organizations. I think there is a push to publish as much Trump-related content as possible, which makes it more likely obviously fake stories get printed.Report
