Jaybird

Jaybird is Birdmojo on Xbox Live and Jaybirdmojo on Playstation's network. He's been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 and it was Zork that taught him how to touch-type. If you've got a song for Wednesday, a commercial for Saturday, a recommendation for Tuesday, an essay for Monday, or, heck, just a handful a questions, fire off an email to AskJaybird-at-gmail.com

Your comment on comments here got me to thinking about MacIntyre’s Three Rival Versions of Moral Enquiry.… so I re-read that, and doing so uncovered something I hadn’t sufficiently pondered before:

What the Summa achieves is a definitive statement at the level of theory of the point reached by its moral and theological tradition so far. What its sequences portray are a set of possibilities awaiting further embodiment in particular persons, circumstances, times, and places.

Aquinas himself does not supply an answer to this question [i.e. what is the narrative sequences of a particular time and place] but Dante does. (Chapter VI)

So now I’m (re-)reading Dante… which my Daughter is also reading for school – hopefully I can keep up.

And playing the new Civ6 upgrade (because I’m foolish and gullible).Report

Reading my own source code. I’ve been futzing with the cartogram software for a bit over five years now. I’m thinking about open-sourcing it, but am torn about its requiring a full Perl environment to run.Report
