      I’m sorry, I won’t be around to watch because I died along with the rest of terrestrial life when the Deepwater Horizon blowout depressurized the methane clathrates in the seabed and turned the atmosphere into a giant fart.

      Or wait, I died when the Yellowstone caldera cracked open and covered all of North America with magma in a couple of hours.

      Or did I die when antibiotic-resistant bacteria spread across the planet?

      Or maybe it was back when population pressures spurred resource competition that escalated into strategic nuclear exchanges.Report

    That article makes reference to local folks doing local things to conserve energy, etc. As it has always been.

    In AZ, you see a lot of places adding solar panels-houses, covered car parks, etc. This is where the changes happen, not some federal mandate.Report
