Jaybird is Birdmojo on Xbox Live and Jaybirdmojo on Playstation's network. He's been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 and it was Zork that taught him how to touch-type. 1. Complaint about zucchini lacking taste but still acceptable to eat.

    2. Enjoyment of chicken parm, especially with a particular sauce.

    3. Do I have to connect the dots for you? Zucchini parm!!! Cut them squashes into steaks instead of noodles, and parm ’em up.Report

You have obviously never had real, farmers market celery. It is DIVINE (and really, really potent).Report

I’ve had the same headache in varying degrees of intensity for almost 3 days now. Mostly just hoping it clears out at some point.

Otherwise, chores, reading, research – all to get ready for Paris (wahoo!).

Oh, and we’re having family birthdays and gaming, both on Saturday.Report

Well, I have been informed that my mother, her husband and my brother will all be decending upon my house this weekend, for Sat. night…

Which is irritating as both my wife and I had plans. She still gets to go to her urban homesteading/gardening class, while I do not get to go visit an old friend at his new house in the south bay. Err.Report

SXSW is a week away. If you want to come, I have at least one, possibly 2 extra Fader Fort invites (trust me, that’s a big deal… the wrist bands sell for a couple hundred), and I believe we have VIP access to at least one unofficial show. Also, free booze everywhere.

So we’re prepping for it this weekend. I have to get some new shoes, since I’ll be on my feet for 12 hours a day 3 or 4 days in a row, with miles of walking (last year, my phone recorded 16 miles one day and 12 the next). And RSVP for a bunch of swagtastic Interactive events. Last year I got free t-shirts, backpacks, thermoses, phone batteries, and R. got some free electronics. Granted one of my t-shirts says, “Start a Business In Iowa. What Else Do You Have Going On?”Report

I have made specific plans to have one day where I did nothing remotely productive or related to work these past two weekends, and each time Fate thought it would be funny to make a hash of my plans to do so.

Am trying again to do this tomorrow for all of Saturday day.

    I have my fingers crossed.Report

As some of you know, I spent all of last week on a personal matter, about which I am not yet ready to write or share many details. This weekend, I was hoping to golf and brew beer, but I think professional obligations and work behind the scenes here will occupy most of my time. It’s likely going to rain anyway, which is something about which I’ll not complain.Report

I am going to be a guinea pig for my friend who is studying massage tomorrow! (!!!)

Also tomorrow evening, Mr. T and some other friends of ours are playing a gig, and we have babysitting lined up so we should all be able to go.

I may manage to do some rearrangement of the basement, toward getting the brewing tower I built out of the back yard and into the brewing room. (Of which process I will say – there is nothing like woodworking to dispel any foolish notions of competence one may have picked up.)Report

I have a black-tie party tonight and am going to the ballet tomorrow. My life has gotten downright glamorous.Report

    • Stillwater in reply to KatherineMW says:

That’s pretty damn glamorous. I’ve been to one ballet, comprised of 9 famous pas de deus (sp?) performed by the Russian ballet at a theater in Chicago. It was one of the greatest entertainment experiences of my life. Gorgeous and spine tingling. It’s a real treat to see those folks jump around in tights.Report

I delivered my inspection documents from BP to Dr. Jill Stein last night.
And by that, I mean that I passed them directly from my hand to hers, and the documents are now in her personal possession.Report

      what does that get you?Report

      • Will H. in reply to notme says:

No more screwed than I am already, but it buys me a little in the way of personal safety.
I say “a little” because those records need to be cross-referenced with other records to see anything incriminating (for the most part), and it takes someone who understands what they’re looking at to do it.

Now if I could only convince the AG that the handling, transport, and disposal of iridium-192 is actually regulated by statute . . .Report

No second job, no first job, no doctor appointments and no running Junior to and fro to the ex-husband’s house. This weekend is mine! I’ll be hanging a Do Not Disturbe sign on my life for two whole days. Glorious!

Oh, and my inconveniently consider roommate has offered to let me pick out the new stove and refrigerator he’s buying for the house. Yay, appliance shopping. 🙁Report

Orrrrr… instead of my planned gaming tonight, I could end up working 5-10 pm because the literally 5 other people that should be ahead of me on the oncall list are all really really sick or have plans with out-of-town friends or are on a military base at the moment.

    BLEAH.

I am only going to do the parts of my job that are necessary, fun, or both this evening.Report
