Thanks, old friend! Same to you!

I finally woke from sleeping off the hangover at 10 p.m. this evening, so I think I can say I celebrated well!Report

About 11 pm for me. Went to the local diner for a hangover cure and it was wall to wall. Woof, bacardi sparking peach rum packs a kick. Probably shouldn’t have drunk the whole bottle.Report

Haha! I can imagine! Pretty much anything rum can be deceiving, in my experience.

When I went to the states for Christmas, I was asked to bring back moonshine for some Canadian friends and I also brought some for myself and this stuff called Templeton Prohibition Era Recipe Rye Whiskey. Last night, at the bar, I saw a young lady I haven’t seen in three months and we stayed up till five drinking the stuff after taking a cab to my place. I am in pain today, but it was sooooo worth it!Report

    • There’s actually an audiobook version as read by Terry Jones, which is perfect because it’s a really funny story. Some of the scholars who’ve written about it have tied themselves in knots trying to avoid admitting that, but the poet who wrote it had a good wry sense of humor.Report
