Saturday!

Erik Kain (the founder of our feast) has his takes on the best games of the year here as well as a fun rundown of the biggest controversies of the year here (yes, I’ve deliberately avoided talking about Gamergate, thanks for asking, because, hey… no politics).

I, sadly, have been hammered at the new job and I’ve spent more time wishing I could play video games than actually playing them but I have purchased a Megamillions ticket and am hoping that next year can be different.

That said, I’ve noticed that Steam has both Bad Mojo Redux *AND* The 7th Guest/11th Hour on sale for 90% off! Dude! I can buy those and totally play them when I get a minute! (Total damage: $2.18. Not too shabby.)

Bad Mojo is a game where you play as a cockroach and, despite the silly conceit, it’s got a surprisingly strong heart. The 7th Guest and 11th Hour are both puzzle games from the heady days of the 90’s and I absolutely adored them then, I look forward to goofing off with them again.
