Fantasy Football Week 13 In Review And NFL Open Thread
Young Guns Derail Express!!!!
Both young receivers, Evans and Bryant, failed to live up to expectations this week, but there was a lot of that going on with the Thunderlips players. Only three players met or beat their projections. Yet Pooh Bear tried to make this a close game with playing Oh No! Romo, who only scores a quarter of his projected points. Still Team Johnson’s had enough to grab the win. Tu talked with coach Dman.
Tu: Two loses in the last three games. Are you concerned about backing into the play-offs?
Dman: It is a little concerning, but the team scored 150+ last week. You win some and lose some.
Tu: Yet the new wide-outs were a dud for the second week and I see you dropped Bryant. Why?
Dman: It looks like Big Ben has lost confidence in him, so I figured I would look for the hot hand with Stills.
Tu: You know Bryant is going to score 20+ next week, right?
Dman: Sigh, you are most likely right….
Squeak of the Week
Despite the huge mistake of benching his best wide receiver, coach ‘Brown thumbed’ Jaybird eked out a win against the Levellers. Coach Bill received strong performances from Rodgers and Jeffery, but the duds from Witten, Gostkowski, and Harvin made their effort for naught. Tu spoke with coach Jaybird after the game.
Tu: Close win coach. Would you tell me why you left Antonio Brown on the bench?
Jaybird: Because when I saw that Eric Decker was playing against Miami, I was sure that Decker was going to drag me across the finish line.
Tu: You know that Decker got only 3 points, right?
Jaybird: And how many points did I win my game by?
Tu: …3 points.
Peak of the Week
[Johnny Cash voice singing to The Long Black Veil]: “Seven weeks ago on a cold dark night, Brain’s Best Team won his fight. There were few at the scene, but they had all agreed, That would be the last win he would see. Nooo body kneeeeew, nobody believed, another win they’d see.” Yet it came in dramatic fashion as, coach Brain ripped off the Peak of the Week and it was needed as the Wildcats put up the second best points, for the second week in a row, and still lost for the second straight time. The Week in Review thinks coach Burt is building serious Karma points for a run in the play-offs.
