Weekend!

Jaybird

Jaybird is Birdmojo on Xbox Live and Jaybirdmojo on Playstation's network. He's been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 and it was Zork that taught him how to touch-type. If you've got a song for Wednesday, a commercial for Saturday, a recommendation for Tuesday, an essay for Monday, or, heck, just a handful a questions, fire off an email to AskJaybird-at-gmail.com

Tomorrow I am going to go shopping for a suit for the company holiday party. It is cocktail attire, tie optional. I know nothing about suits, so any advice from the more fashionable among you would be appreciated.

Other than that, no real specific plans beyond the usual laundry, housework, and grocery shopping.Report

Fava beans are up 5″ strong and need water. Have a dozen jalapenos to harvest. The dill is outgrowing the kale. Planted moringa tree seeds last weekend, doubt they will germinate with the cold front over us. Planting rye this saturday. Saturday night will enjoy a sweet potatoe dish from this years harvest.

Sunday will complete installing the door to the wifes laundry/shed that we built over the summer. The door is a pass-through between the house and the shed.Report

It’s really nice to see even the beginnings of Jay sleeping better.

I’m planning on a chore-filled weekend, but I think they will be the kind of chores that you can actually see the difference after you do them.

And I’m looking forward to gaming on Saturday.Report

Last night we had dinner out for the youngest daughter’s birthday (16!) This morning I spent a frigid few hours in the deer stand. 15 degrees at sunrise…yikes. The deer were smarter than me and stayed in bed. UFC 180 tonight. Not a great card but I enjoy the company.

Tomorrow we are getting together with my sister to make a bunch of freezer meals. Necessary in our house because my wife doesn’t cook and she is going to starve to death on my next business trip.

Two more big days at work next week and then I’m out for 27 days on a combination of vacation and travel for work. Should be interesting.Report
