@chris – hey, I removed the post pic on this, sorry. For some reason the pic was not loading on the FP, and also was preventing the FP/Gifts of Gab from completely loading, in my browser (not sure if anyone else was having that issue?). If it WAS just me, I can re-add it. Report

Weird. I didn’t have a problem last night, but just in case I’ll just find another one.Report

Yeah, GoG was not loading (so the FP kept clocking, since it wasn’t finished loading) and I noticed the pic was also missing. I checked the post in Edit mode and saw the picture there just fine, but the issues on FP persisted even after rebooting my browser. Pages that were NOT the FP (that is, within posts) were loading just fine, including GoG, so I started to suspect the pic was the problem. As soon as I removed it, the issue cleared up.

Again, if it was only me I apologize for messing with your post, but I was assuming that if it was happening to me (FF on a Mac) then it was probably happening to others too.Report

Dude, no need to apologize. If that picture was causing problems, it had to go!

Hopefully the new one is safe.Report

    Bonus tracks:

I guess I am just not feeling vocals today because I liked these bonus tracks best of all.

Here’s what I’ve been listening to a lot this week. I normally wouldn’t link to these sort of album “trailers” (it’s made up of bits of four tracks from the album) but in this case, it actually nicely represents the fragmentation of the album – which doesn’t mix from one track to the next, has many tracks that are extremely brief (many are under 2 minutes, and only one cracks 4 – a blink in dance terms), and mostly cuts out any buildups or fadeouts (in fact, sometimes a track just sort of…cuts off, just as you are getting into it). It’s both kind of jarring and sort of exhilarating, like he’s trying to apply the GbV “just the good parts” aesthetic to dance music.

Also, these have me strangely hyped for the new Afghan Whigs (sorry for the silly video on the first and the muddy sound on the second, but you get the idea):

How did the bots know I have a thing for blondes selling me home insurance via an inexplicable pidgin of Spanish and Ye Olde English? I always make sure to clear my browser history…don’t judge me.Report
