I’m not sure when this will hit my mountain community, but I’m sure I’ll get a copy when it becomes available. I’m still more excited about Ghosts coming out in November but this should get me there. I liked Last of Us well enough but it’s not a game I’m going to replay. Thanks for the work of putting together the reviews.Report

But what does Forbes‘ video game reviewer, Erik Kain, have to say?

I’ll be getting GTA V this weekend. I pre-reserved a copy but real-world concerns will be occupying me during my evenings this week. I’m looking forward to it.Report

Forbes doesn’t have a review yet, otherwise I definitely would have linked to it.

I had no plans to play the game, mostly because I’ve so much else on my plate right now, including two other games I need to review, but increasingly I’m curious to get a chance to play it before the negative backlash, and definitely before the backlash to the backlash.Report

I’m still waiting for Half Life 2: Episode 3 to come out. 🙁Report

Nice roundup….appreciate the summary of key(review) arguments that extends beyond the ‘metacritic redux to an aggregated number’ that tends to miss the point in favor of a(n inflated) grade.

side note: Ryan Davis (of giant bomb) passed away earlier this year, so i startled a bit when you listed him as doing the review.Report

I’ll be picking up my copy tomorrow! Wooooo! After I finish off the overtime crap that the lab requires, anyway.Report
