my two cents
1) the postcard idea is decent. aim for something someone would want to instagram if possible.
2) if you have the ability to do videos, do so. but they need to be totally awesome. if you have any friends who do film/tv production, or even a background in drama, get them in play. if they do animation well, even better. if it means trading sexual favors, so be it.
more seriously, maybe lead with something simple like “what is public policy?” done smartly (i.e. short and punchy) or – if the chops are there – something more elaborate. basically your goal is to end up on buzzfeed and related silly portals. if you punch yourself in the head enough, you can get into the mindset of a huffpo bloggeur on the “oh my amusing internet” beat and work backwards from that point.Report
