And, before the votes are opened and counted, the votes are in a superposition of states, wherein each vote counts for both Obama and Romney. When the votes are opened, they collapse into one of the states as a vote for Obama or a vote for Romney.
However, because Republicans don’t really believe the science behind this, the sum over histories favors Obama.
