    I liked the Dickensian infernal machines, but I think its replacement actually fits with the overall design better. Good pick!Report

    LOVE the logo. It’s really compelling and evocative. I think I like the title…is that supposed to be a monocle? And should I take it that we’re keeping the name for now?Report

    I like the logo too. I don’t know what that thing is off to the left- maybe a city or a polygraph. That should probably go. But everything else is good.Report

    I think the logo turned out very well. Kudos to all involved in developing it. I think the monocle looks excellent.

    I’m glad the infernal machine is gone–I just didn’t get the point of such a depressing concept.

    I think it’s also good that you dropped the twitter, eyc., logos down do they’re not on the same line as the title. Still very visible bit less obtrusive.Report

    Logo looks great.

    The two side bars are little detracting given that I don’t usually open my browser to full wide screen and so only half my browser space goes to the blog and the comments. This can make the pages of comments hurtful on the eyes and leave lots of blank space under the doubled up columns.

    Otherwise love it. šŸ™‚Report

    I must comment that I hate where the gifts of gab are for the main page now. That add cuts off most of them and I frankly think off the cuff takes up far too much space. In my opinion the items of the front page are, in order of priority
    #1 the FP posts of course
    #2 the ongoing dialogue in the comments on the FP.
    #3 the Off the cuff items which are nice but not as frequently used.

    Gifts of gab of course is very useful to #2 so I think it should have the pride of the sidebar. Just my 2 pennies of course.Report

        Off the Cuff often feeds Gifts of Gab bigtime. I often use it as a conversation-starter where I might not necessarily have much original content to add to justify hogging the FP.

        I do agree that I enjoy seeing as much of the original comment as possible in Gifts of Gab to make sure it’s worth the time to click on it. I often spend a little time adjusting my lede for punch. [Which might make me seem more aggressive than I really am, but no guts no glory.]Report

        I’m sympathetic to the sentiment but my kneejerk reaction is that more options are better. Off the Cuff does offer space for smaller less constructed posts that often still merit FP airing. I’ve had some great conversations (and read many more) Off the Cuff.

        All that said if the choice was between an expanded and solid Gift of Gab and removing Off the Cuff I’d off The Cuff.Report

    Erik, just wanted to chime in with the others about that changes – they look great. And I’m starting to really like you put the side bar in a single column. It was strange at first – change and all – but I think it’s a cleaner look. Also I like that you put Off the Cuff first, then Gift of Gab, then the Around the League posts and etc. Structuring it that way highlights the OtC stuff before we all scan for interesting comments, and so on with Around the League. It call attention to the primary posts, which I think is appropriate.
