    I don’t have a subscription to Sage. I can say this about altruism, people who are hungry are significantly less altruistic than those who have been fed.

    In a well-run refugee camp, two feeding lines are set up: one for the women and children, the other for the men. If you try it any other way, the stronger men will immediately grab the food meant for the women and children.Report
